This Almond Brownies recipe makes 16 servings.
What You Need
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
12 oz. chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped almonds
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 325F.
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl and set aside.
3. Add butter, sugar and water to saucepan and bring just to boil; remove from heat and add half the chocolate chips, plus vanilla. Stir until smooth.
4. Transfer mixture to mixing bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
5. Add dry mixture and blend.
6. Stir in remaining chocolate chips, plus almonds.
7. Spread into 9x9 baking pan. Bake 30 minutes. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
