Cherry Chocolate Cake Recipe

What You Need
2 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 21-oz. can cherry pie filling
6 oz. chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Confectioners sugar
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a flour a tube pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, baking soda, cinnamon and salt, and mix well.
3. Stir in pie filling and chocolate chips (plus nuts, if desired).
4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 60-90 minutes (begin checking at 60 minutes, continue cooking until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean of crumbs).
5. Allow to cool in pan for at least 10 minutes. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar before serving.
