What You Need
3/4 cup shortening
4 tablespoons molasses
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups flour
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Cream together shortening and sugar.
3. Beat in egg and molasses, then add baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and flour and mix well.
4. Roll into walnut-sized balls and dip each in granulated sugar, then placing each ball on ungreased cookie sheet. Press each ball with a fork.
5. Bake 8 minutes.
