Soft Molasses Cookies Recipe

This Soft Molasses Cookies recipe makes 3 dozen cookies.
What You Need
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 large eggs
1/2 cup molasses
1 1/2 cups raisins
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 350F and lightly grease baking sheets.
2. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice and ginger in a medium bowl.
3. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, cream together sugar, shortening, eggs and molasses. Stir this mixture into the flour mixture until just mixed.
4. Add raisins and stir to combine.
5. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes.
6. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Store in tightly sealed container.
