This Turtle Cookies recipe makes approximately 24. These cookies are so-named because once they bake up they resemble turtles' backs. Sort of. If you squint. And that's because you cook them on a waffle iron!
What You Need
1/2 cup margarine, melted
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
3/4 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
What To Do
1. Mix cocoa into melted margarine.
2. Add sugar, then beat in eggs.
3. Stir in flour and salt, then add vanilla and stir.
4. Preheat your waffle iron. Using a teaspoon, drop the dough onto the hot waffle iron, close the iron, and let cook approximately one minute. Cool cookies on wire rack.
