Dutch Apple Pie Recipe
 
This Dutch Apple Pie recipe yields 8 servings.

What You Need
• 1 Graham cracker pie crust
• 1 large egg yolk, slightly beat
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 5 1/2 cups peeled, sliced cooking apples
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
• 1/3 cup butter at room temperature
• 3 tablespoons sll-purpose flour

What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 375F.

2. Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk. Bake on baking sheet about five minutes, until brown. Remove crust from oven.

3. Combine sliced apples, lemon juice, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix well, then spoon into prepared crust.

4. The remaining ingredients form the topping. Mix with a fork until crumbly, then sprinkle over top of filling.

5. Bake on baking sheet until topping is golden and filling is bubbling, approximately 50 minutes.

6. Cool thoroughly, at least 4 hours, before serving. Serve at room temperature.
