Cherry Cobbler Recipe
This Cherry Cobbler recipe makes 6 servings.

What You Need
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 cup flour
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
• 3 cups fresh or frozen cherries with juice
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons shortening
• 1/2 cup milk

What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 400F.

2. In a large skillet or saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch. Gradually stir in water. Bring to boil and boil one minute, stirring constantly.

3. Add cherries and their juice. Remove from heat and pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish.

4. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon.

5. Separately, stir flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.

6. Stir in milk to form dough. Drop dough by spoonsfuls onto hot cherry mixture. Bake 25-30 minutes.
