FDR's Favorite Pecan Pie Recipe

This FDR's Favorite Pecan Pie recipe makes 8 servings. It's called "FDR's Favorite" because this pecan pie was made for U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
What You Need
1 pastry for 9-inch pie
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
3 eggs, well beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans, in halves or pieces
What To Do
1. Cook 9-inch pastry shell for 5 minutes at 425F. Remove from oven and turn oven down oven to 350F.
2. Cream butter and sugar, then add syrup, eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
3. Add pecans and mix again.
4. Pour into prepared crust.
5. Bake at 350F until filling is firm, about 45-50 minutes. Cool before serving.
