Old-Fashioned Pumpkin Pie Recipe

This Old-Fashioned Pumpkin Pie recipe yields 6 servings.
What You Need
Pastry for 9-inch pie crust
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
Whipped cream, for garnish
1 beaten egg
Pinch of Salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 14-oz. can mashed cooked pumpkin
3 teaspoons brandy or rum
What To Do
1. Line a deep 9-inch pie plate with pastry. Flute edges and brush bottom of pastry with beaten egg. Refridgerate.
2. Combine sugar, salt, flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice and nutmeg.
3. Stir in beaten eggs.
4. In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin and milk, then stir into first bowl and combine. Chill.
5. Preheat oven to 450F.
6. Add brandy or rum to filling and pour into pie shell.
7. Bake 10 minutes, then lower heat to 400F and bake another 30 minutes.
