Margarine, butter or bacon fat
What To Do
1. Heat margarine, butter, or bacon fat in heavy skillet over medium heat (the frying medium should fill the skillet to a depth of 1/8 of an inch).
2. Break egg into custard cup or saucer, then carefully slip into skillet.
3. Reduce heat to low. Cook 5 to 7 minutes, spooning margarine or grease over eggs, until whites are set, a film forms over yolk and yolk has thickened (or gently turn eggs over after 3 minutes and cook 1-2 minutes until yolk thickens - be careful, it's easy to break the yolk this way).
