This is a recipe of former Sen. Jean Carnahan's "Recipes from the Governor's Mansion." The recipe appears when Carnahan's husband, Mel, was governor of Missouri.
What You Need
2 pounds ground ham
1 pound ground lean pork
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/2 to 3/4 cup Milnot
Garlic powder
Pepper
Parsley to taste
Sauce
6 oz. undiluted frozen orange juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Put all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine well.
3. Form into small, oval-shaped loaves and place on baking sheet.
4. Bake loaves for 30 minutes.
5. Combine sauce ingredients and pour over loaves. Bake another 10 minutes.
Makes approximately 30 loaves.
