Here's an easy Egg Drop Soup recipe that goes great with any Chinese food. You can add some vegetables - sliced celery and carrots are best - to this recipe if desired.
What You Need
2 cups chicken broth
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon corn starch
What To Do
1. Add chicken broth, pepper, soy sauce and sesame to soup pot and heat just until it begins to boil. (Add vegetables at this point if desired.)
2. Add cornstarch to a little bit of water or chicken broth, enough to make a thin paste. Then stir paste into broth mixture to thicken.
3. Whisk egg, then drizzle into boiling soup. Serve as a side dish, particularly with Chinese food.
