This Beer Biscuits recipe makes 12-15 biscuits.
What You Need
2 cups unbleached flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup beer
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 450F.
2. Sift dry ingredients together.
3. Cut in shortening with a fork or pastry cutter until the mixture reaches the consistenty of cornmeal.
4. Stir in beer.
5. Knead dough lightly, then roll out to a thickness of 1/2 inch.
6. Cut out biscuits and bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
