This Cheddar Biscuits recipe makes 8 biscuits.
What You Need
2 cups unbleached flour, sifted
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup milk
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 450F.
2. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, then mix in grated cheese.
3. Cut in butter, then add milk and mix quickly but thoroughly to form a soft dough.
4. Turn onto a floured board and knead lightly for a few seconds. Pat dough out to a thickness of 3/8 of an inch and cut out 8 biscuits.
5. Place biscuits on baking sheet and bake 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
