Old-Time Cornbread Recipe

What You Need
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1 cup flour
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 tablespoons lard, melted
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 400F and grease an 11x7x2 baking pan.
2. Beat together eggs, milk and lard.
3. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
4. Pour into prepared pan and bake approximately 30 minutes.
