Serve this Sausage Rice recipe family style, in a big bowl in the middle of table, with all your family members helping themselves.
What You Need
1 bunch green onions, sliced
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon margarine
2 pounds mild sausage, crumbled or sliced
1 pound hot sausage, crumbled or sliced
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 can water
2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
What To Do
1. Brown sausages.
2. When sausage is nearly ready, saute onion, celery and green pepper in margarine until tender.
3. Drain sausage, then add sausage, vegetables, plus broth, water and rice to large saucepan.
4. Simmer 30-40 minutes or until rice is done.
