This Wild Herbed Rice recipe makes 6 servings.
What You Need
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown rice
1 cup wild rice
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 3/4 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Fresh ground black pepper
1/4 cup chopped pecans
What To Do
1. Melt butter over medium heat in a large saucepan.
2. Add rices, onion and celery and saute 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
3. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour or until liquid has evaporated.
