Cornbread and Chestnut Dressing Recipe
What You Need
1 1/2 pounds cornbread
1 pound Italian sausage
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup port
1 medium onion, diced
1 celery, diced fine
2 Granny Smith apples, diced
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1 1/4 cup chopped chestnuts
2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
What To Do
1. Dry cornbread in oven at 325F for 15 minutes. Crumble and put into glass bowl.
2. Saute sausage in frying pan. Remove and add to bread.
3. Saute onion and celery for 2 minutes. Add to bread/sausage mixture.
4. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake 45 minutes at 325F.
