Wild Rice Stuffing Recipe

This Wild Rice Stuffing recipe makes enough to stuff a 15-pound bird.
What You Need
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon salad oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups uncooked wild rice
1 cup broken walnuts
2 cups chopped celery
Giblets, chopped
1 teaspoon minced parsley
1 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon minced sage
1 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper
4 cups boiling chicken broth
What To Do
1. In a heavy skillet, melt butter with oil; saute onion until soft.
2. Add rice and cook, stirring often, until rice is slightly colored.
3. Add walnuts and cook five minutes, then add celery and continue cooking until rice is golden.
4. Stir in herbs, seasonings, and giblets.
5. Pour in boiling chicken broth and simmer about 30 minutes, until liquid is absorbed.
