A different kind of corn dish. This Fried Corn recipe makes 4 servings.
What You Need
6 ears corn
1/4 cup bacon drippings or vegetable oil
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoons sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper to taste
What To Do
1. Prepare corn by shucking, washing and removing silk. Using a sharp knife, cut kernels in half, then cut kernels from cob.
2. Scrape juice out of corncob into the corn.
3. Heat bacon drippings or vegetable oil in large, heavy skillet. Add corn and remaining ingredients and bring to boil, stirring constantly.
4. Cover; reduce heat and simmer about 20-25 minutes, until corn is tender. You may need to add a little hot water during cooking.
